MMM has three general designations for contributors. Each has its own unique characteristics. One is not “better” than the other. This 3-tiered structure was designed to streamline work, reward context building and provide maximum flexibility for contributors.

Each tier is not “higher” or “better” than the other - they are all different, each with their own set of unique characteristics.

Contract Contributors

This is the most common contributor type and where folks start out at MMM. Like the name suggests, Contract Contributors essentially take on “contracts” within MMM based on specific projects they are working on.

Contract contributors:

A example of this would be a designer working on a website refresh. This project has a clear start and finish. The project is scoped in advance and, upon completion of the project, the contributor would need to either propose or join another project in order to keep contributing at MMM.
