👋 Welcome to the GitcoinDAO Onboarding Experience.👋

Are you interested in joining us and becoming a contributor of GitcoinDAO? Awesome! But before we start, please get up to speed by reading the crash course on Gitcoin 101 below 👇:

Quick 10 minute primer to GitcoinDAO.
An overview post for prospective DAO participants to know the why/what/how of GitcoinDAO.
Gitcoin is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization governed by the holders of the GTC token.
Token holders delegate their votes to a trusted Steward. Some choose to self delegate.
The Stewards then accept or decline actions by voting for proposals which pass quorum.

Once you are familiar with how Gitcoin and our governance works, go to the next step!

1. 👩‍🚀 Apply as a contributor!

[ ] Join our Discord, read our community guidelines and participate in the conversations
[ ] Fill out the GitcoinDAO application form
[ ] Wait for email approval from Gitcoin

💡 Take your time filling out the form as we check every application individually

💡 Evaluation criteria:

Show an interest in and understanding of our mission of building and supporting public goods
Provide relevant skills / willingness to learn
Make sure include your Discord handle on the application
Proof of identity (social media, linkedIn, humanity) - we block out Sybil attackers in this process

2. 🪐 Get Familiar with the Gitcoin Discord!

[ ] Once you have received your congratulatory email on being a Candidate DAO Contributor, check that you have the #DAO Applicant role on Discord.*
[ ] Introduce yourself in the #DAO-Onboarding channel
[ ] Join the bi-weekly community call on Discord
