Citizen Grants GCP’s encourages community participation and innovation towards achieving the program’s objectives. It allows Gitcoin community members to propose actionable steps and ideas (GCPs) that align with the Citizen Grants Program’s funding personas. The program utilizes direct grant funding to foster ecosystem growth through proactive contributions from its community.
Proposals undergo a structured evaluation process, including community feedback and assessment by the Grants Council.
Workflow and Process Overview
GCPs that satisfy the criteria below will be chosen for evaluation. Fork and use the GCP Template to create yours.

- [ ] The final version of the GCP must be submitted on Grants Stack as a Direct Grant.

- Grantee submits their GCP on the Governance Forum, allowing for visibility and community feedback.
Commenting, Feedback, and Adjustments Period
- After submission, the community is required to review and provide input on the GCP for a minimum of 5 business days.

Submission on Grants Stack and Evaluation
- The grantee must submit the final version of their GCP on Grants Stack by the date set out by the GCP coordinator.
- All applications on Grants Stack are consolidated for review by Grant Council.
Post-Cycle Implementation
- Once approved, the grantee creates a project with a roadmap on the Karma Grantee Accountability Protocol.
- The project's outcomes are periodically reviewed as per the established roadmap.
- Payments are authorized based on the project's schedule and progress.
