Subject: Developer Ecosystem Priorities for the period between April 1 and June 3, 2023

Description: This memo describes the intention of the next 3 months of Gitcoin Developer Ecosystem. Specifically, it covers the goals and milestones that will take us through the end of Q2.

Audience(s): Gitcoin core team, developers building on Gitcoin, developers in the broader ecosystem

Introduction

We kicked off last quarter with a memo outlining the priorities of the Developer Ecosystem, what they were and how they aligned with the priorities of Gitcoin as a whole (link to the original memo). Specifically, the focus then was on “setting the table” for the larger Developer Ecosystem and starting to build the organization to support it.

This memo focuses on the second quarter of 2023 and how we can build off the work we did last quarter. A big focus of this quarter will be defining repeatable processes for two big areas of our current DevRel work: partnerships for Allo or Pasport and the developer documentation.

How you can help:

This is going to be a lot to race towards! If you’re keen to help, please reach out. The biggest thing I need help with right now is actually expanding the team. I’m looking for people who can help with some or any of:

Context

Last quarter was heavily focused on laying the ground work and preparing for EthDenver. A lot of that ground work has been laid (see Season 1 Retrospective, below). Additionally, EthDenver was a success: we came away with almost 20 leads for both Passport and Allo.

How does all this fit into Gitcoin’s mission?
