Research Brief
Background
- We are researching whether or not projects want to build on-chain reputation
- [ASSUMPTION] Problem Space → some of the project owner’s painpoints include:
- Being susceptible to fraud (i.e. other projects posing as me and stealing my funding)
- Finding the best rounds for you to apply to
- Not wasting time applying to multiple rounds that you are not eligible for or are not a good fit for
- Being able to show the impact of my project
- Getting consistent funding / having a reliable source of funding
Goals
- Validate the problem space / assumptions above — are these actual painpoints of the project owner? Are we missing any painpoints or problems?
- Determine if project owners need to build on-chain project reputation — is this something that would be useful to them? Why?
- What does building project reputation mean to the project owner?
- Learn about what project owners hope to achieve by building project reputation
- Explore if there are any other potential problem spaces beyond project reputation that we haven’t discovered yet
